Scotstamps, Seahorse Publishers and the Commonwealth Stamp Store have again got together to provide an Exciting and Different Way to Collect the British Commonwealth Omnibus Issues.
Many of us Collectors love collecting the Omnibus Issues along with the sets of the countries that we are interested in. Many of us not only collect the Omnibus Stamps as part of our Commonwealth Collection but also separately as Complete Omnibus Sets which can provide a dazzling display.
The British Commonwealth Omnibus Collection of Albums is designed as a safe stylish flexible and expandable home for your Complete Omnibus Sets designed to suit all collecting interests.
How the system works:
Most modern albums even those with images have a specific start point and are open at the growing end only! IE, issues yet to come. Most standard albums will start in 1935 with George V Silver Jubilee and continue to the current day and updating is done by buying supplements. Our matching omnibus binders have volume numbers so, if you have for example a large number of the 1946 Victory issue you could start there with Volume I. All you need to do this is to buy the Volume I binder and the pages for the 1946 Victory issue and off you go. If you then expand the collection forward you could move on to 1948, 1949 etc until the volume is full and you move on to Volume 2! So lets say you now have 2 full Volumes and decide you want to go back in time to the 1937 Coronation of George VI then, when you purchase Volume III you just move everything up a volume and put your earlier issues in Volume I. Likewise if you collect both mint and used you can by two sets of the appropriate era and house them together. Whatever your collecting interests are, this system allows you to collect what you want and in the order you want and as much or as little as you want.
The thing to remember is that you don't have to buy all four binders at the start, you can by them as you need them and you can buy the pages for the issue you are working on. It is indeed a very flexible system!
