This is the Official Archive for the British Post Office covering the period from 1635 up to the present. The Archives contain Proof Impressions, UPU Collection, pre-production artwork for stamps, Phillips collection of Victorian Great Britain, Frank Staff Postal History Collection including letters and markings from 1661 on. Also, the De La Rue printing records and items connected with the history of the British Post Office are located here. An Archive Search room is available during week days, but check with them direct if you intend going at Bank Holidays, they usually close on these days.

The Museum is open 11am - 5pm Monday to Saturday and on Sundays 2pm - 5pm. A charge for admission is made. There is a full scale Victorian Post Office, displays, continuous video and activity area for children. During a visit you will find out how Bath in the 18th Century influenced and developed the Postal System that was eventually introduced throughout the British Commonwealth and Europe.
3. LLangollen Postal Museum

Nominal Admission Charge. Displays of Postal History. miniature sorting office and a replica Victorian Post Office. Occasionally there are displays and exhibitions.
Open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm. Sundays are seasonal hours generally 11am to 4pm, but best check direct if going on a Sunday.
This Museum is a voluntary undertaking and the charges do not reflect the actual running costs.
